Evaluation and Empirical Research on Eco-Efficiency of Financial Industry Based on Carbon Footprint in China

Since finance is the core of economic development, green development financial industry an essential driving force not only for achieving dual “carbon” goal China but also and social sustainable development. An accurate understanding ecological efficiency great importance guiding In this paper, we first calculate carbon footprint China’s in 2012 2017 based on life cycle theory input–output analysis method. Second, analyze primary sources final flows each province from perspectives industrial chain demand. Finally, estimate efficiency, emission reduction, value-added potential by using radially adjusted slack variable DEA model (SRAM-DEA) under two assumptions, natural disposability managerial disposability. The results show that (1) most provinces low, regional differences are significant; (2) overall was better than 2012; (3) technological innovation products upgrading capital supervision play role promoting improvement efficiency. Especially, disposability, has a greater reduction added value.
